Okay, I just have to say… you guys are are amazing! As a blogger I look at “stats” pretty much daily – it tells me how many people look at my blog each day. Only a couple days ago I reached the record of 50 view a day, and then I logged on this morning to find more than 100 people looked at my blog yesterday! If my roomie weren’t asleep I’d be throwing confetti around! ![]()
Thanks guys! Now if only 1 out of 10 visitors would post a comment…
Thank you!

When the idea first struck me to start a blog, I was probably more enraptured with the idea of figuring out the colors and fonts than what would go on the inside. Okay, I was.
But we often do that – figure out the book’s publisher and start planning the sequel when we’re not even done with chapter one! Anyhow, since I was starting the blog on a whim, I hadn’t stopped to consider what the title would be or what I would want to write about. At that time I had been reading a book called “A Time to Dance” by Karen Kingsbury – the first book I have read of hers. As she told the story of a couple who learn to love one another again, she used analogies from the eagle. Did you know…
- An eagle uses the strong winds of storms to its advantage, soaring high in the skies above clouds and enemies.
- When they are affected with poison, they fly to a rock and spread their wings, letting the warm rays from the sun renew their strength
- Partiality through the Eagle’s life, he will go through a molting process that will bring great depression. Calcium deposits will appear on the Eagle’s talons and beak. This is a wilderness time that all Eagles will face. During this time, the Eagle begins to walk like a Turkey. He has no strength to fly. Other Eagles who have already gone through this molting process and survived, will fly above the valley in which the Eagle is in, and drop fresh food to help strengthen him. Unfortunately, some Eagles will not receive the help of other Eagle’s and will die in the valley while others will, and regain their strength. Once they regain their strength, they will climb the mountain in which they were raised on. After this experience, the Eagle will Soar again with greater strength than ever before!
And there’s more symbolism in how an eagle selects a mate, but I’ve already returned the book to the library. So go get it! Or read the link over there —-> And now you’ll know what “Eagle in the Storm” means.
